Ethiopia NCDI Commission launches report

The Ethiopia NCDI Commission formally launched their report at the Intercontinental Hotel in Addis Ababa on November 27, 2018. Her Excellency Dr. Lia Tadesse, State Minister of Health, opened and closed the event and participated in a panel discussion with members of the Commission. The program featured detailed presentations of the Commission’s findings and recommendations from Commission members Dr. Wubaye Walelgne, Dr. Solomon Tessema, and Prof. Abraham Haileamlak.

A diverse group attended the launch, including a range of stakeholders from the Federal Ministry of Health; additional national ministries; civil society organizations, including advocacy groups for cancer, diabetes and palliative care; the World Health Organization; the Lancet NCDI Poverty Commission; Partners In Health; CDC Africa; and the African Union.
