Cameroon NCDI Poverty Commission Convenes for Inaugural Meeting

The Cameroon NCDI Poverty Commission held its inaugural meeting on 16 March 2021 in Yaoundé. Members were led by Chair, Professor Samuel Kingue and Vice Chair, Professor Mbu Robinson and included a wide range of high-level representatives from different public partners and local stakeholders.

Prof. Kingue provided formal opening remarks for the meeting, and Prof. Mbu introduced the Commission and outlined the purpose for the meeting. The group also had presentations from Dr. Emmanuel Mensah with an overview of the NCDI Poverty Network, Dr. Aristide Stéphane Abah Abah with a report on NCDIs in Cameroon and Dr. Yauba Saidu discussed ways in which to move the work forward.
